Steven Charles Hanuska

Steven Charles Hanuska born July 27, 1982, passed away on December 13, 2025.

He is survived by his Father, Steven Hanuska; Stepmother, Karen Hanuska; Mother, Wanda (Woods) Hyzynski; his Brother, Mike Hanuska; Grandmother, Sarah Hanuska; his Fiancé, Jamie Lynn Rodriguez; her children, Alondra and Christian; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephews and good friends.

Preceded in death by his Grandparents, Robert and Juanita Hanuska; Grandmother, Reba Woods and Stepfather Don Hyzynski.

Steven's hobbies were camping, biking, playing video games, photography, taking road trips, watching movies, comics, pickling pickles and gardening. He was a jack of all trades fixing and tinkering, making many interesting things. He enjoyed family time and a good cup of coffee and a smoke in the morning. Steven had a deep love for life, his family and the simple joys of the outdoors, whether working in the yard tending to his garden or spending time in the woods. He was always looking at things just a little differently finding the beauty within. 

He found happiness in working conventions, exploring abandoned places and spending time with friends at the Ponderosa Sun Club. Steven enjoyed sewing and making costumes, his favorite being his Pirate costume. He was a musician, and played piano at an earlier age, and later learned to play bass guitar. He was a part of the bands Grainshifter, Johnny and the Rooks and DeVoid. Steven is known for his homemade cigar box bass and it is truly one of a kind which always drew attention from those attending the shows. Steven’s bandmates Christian Leal Thompson and Brad Huston became his closest friends and shared so many amazing experiences and adventures with many good stories. Steven touched so many lives over the years and will be truly missed by his friends and family. 

Cremation services will be performed now, and a celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
