Survived by her loving sisters, Paula M. Cronin and Marie Fazio; niece, Maria E. Rios; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Rita spent her early working years alongside her sister, Paula, at the family's well known Fazio's Restaurants on Collins Street on Joliet's East Side. Following her marriage in 1974, she dedicated her life to being a loving wife, devoted mother and homemaker, creating a home filled with warmth, comfort and unconditional love.

She had a true gift for making a house feel like a home. Rita was an avid gardener who took immense pride in her beautiful flowers and meticulously maintained yard. She loved cooking and entertaining family and friends, and her home was always immaculate and welcoming to everyone who visited.

Nothing in life brought Rita greater joy than her two sons. They were the center of her world, and she loved them with all her heart. She will be remembered for her patience, kindness, gentle spirit and the genuine love she shared so freely with her family and friends.

Rita also enjoyed spending time at the casino playing the slot machines and was an animal lover throughout her life. Her beloved dog, Nicco, was her faithful companion and was showered with love every day.

While her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing Rita has been reunited with her beloved husband and sons. They can only imagine the joyful celebration as they welcomed her home, together once again.

Rita's love, kindness and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
