Joseph's professional accomplishments as a Mechanical Engineer were a testament to his sharp intellect and unwavering determination.

Beyond his professional achievements, Joseph will be most fondly remembered for the love and kindness he extended to his family and friends. As a loving son, he brought immense joy to his parents, Mary Ostrega and Joseph Ostrega Sr. His sister Christine Altemus and brother David Ostrega were fortunate to have shared their lives with such an incredible sibling. Joseph also leaves behind his beloved daughter Madison Ostrega.

Joseph was adored by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm and gentle personality touched the hearts of many.

He was a proud member of the Starved Rock Yacht Club, where he found solace on the open waters. Boating and fishing were among Joseph's favorite activities; they allowed him to escape from the stresses of daily life while reconnecting with nature.

Joseph is survived by his mother Mary Ostrega, father Joseph Ostrega Sr., sister Christine (John) Altemus, brother David (Rebecca) Ostrega, daughter Madison Ostrega, nieces and nephews Kate, Johnny, Julia, and Jake.
