Frankie Ruth Hollis of Channahon, IL passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024. She was born in Dekalb, Mississippi in 1943 to parents Oberia and Earl Smith.
Frankie lived a long life exploring the United States, while going to business, beauty, and culinary schools. She took care of others and was a caregiver to those in need. She was a proud member of Victory City Church and Season Sisters group. She loved cooking and baking for others, gardening, and doting on her grandkids. She was a proud member of AA for over 20 years.
Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, Oberia and Earl Smith, and siblings, Kenneth Smith, Novys Smith, Billie Jean Woodall, twins Loyce Kitchens and Joyce Cheatham, and Ann Lausch.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Tammie (Don) Crickman and Tracie (Jim) Williams, and her cherished son, Patrick (Amy) Hollis. Her legacy continues through her grandsons, Kevin (Erin) Crickman, Brett and Brandon Williams, and Patrick Hollis. She also loved her great grandchildren, Cameron and Dahlia Crickman dearly.
Frankie was a proud supporter of Donald Trump and his Presidency and was the most selfless person, giving to others in need, and being the best friend to others. She will be dearly missed. A special thank you to Alden Estates of Shorewood and Lightways Hospice for their care and compassion. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Per Frankie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
