Craig E. Sibley, 56, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026.
Craig was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Craig would give anyone the shirt off his back. Though quiet and a little socially uneasy at times, helping others came naturally to him, and so did laughter. He loved life, loved people, and was always ready to celebrate, joke, or make some comment that would catch you off guard and make you smile. And if you got into a spirited conversation with Craig, you likely would hear his trademark phrase: “Come on now!”
His love of fun started early. As the first grandchild, Craig was often the center of attention. One Christmas, when he was just two years old, the family suddenly realized Craig was nowhere to be found among the room full of presents. They found him down the hallway, wearing his aunt’s wig and waving a toilet brush — perhaps unveiling his goofy grin that so many people would come to love.
Craig mastered walking on his grandpa’s stilts at a young age, a skill that became useful in the career he grew to love: plastering. He was passionate about his craft and took enormous pride in his work. Everywhere he went, he noticed plaster work — pointing out what would be difficult to accomplish or what could have been done better. Craig had a sharp mind for figuring out solutions to construction problems, and he poured himself into every project he touched. While his perfectionism sometimes tested the patience of those working on a timeline, no one could deny the beauty, skill, and care behind his work.
Kind-hearted but hardheaded, Craig never pretended to be perfect. He knew his faults, worked on them, and kept pushing forward no matter how many difficult obstacles life placed in front of him. Even when he stumbled backwards, he never stopped trying to move ahead. His life was not without hardship, but he faced it with resilience, humor, and heart.
Of all the chapters in Craig’s life, reconnecting with Tammi became one of the most meaningful. You could see the difference in him when they were together. There was a joy in Craig that felt undeniable—he smiled more, laughed more, and carried a happiness we hadn’t seen before. The love they shared brought out a warmth and light in him that was impossible to miss.
Craig gave the best hugs. In those moments, you could feel his love and his big heart, even when he struggled to put it into words. He could aggravate you at times, but it was nearly impossible to stay mad at someone whose core was so genuinely sweet and caring.
Craig will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
