Ardys Helen Koch (nee Mortvedt), age 103, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Ardys is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon W. Koch; parents, Alvin and Lyda Mortvedt; son, Ralph G. Koch; sister, Beverly J. Nelson; brother-in-law, Darrell Nelson; brother, Carl Mortvedt; two granddaughters, Debra (Bettenhausen) Haberkorn and Lori (Bettenhausen) Massiro; grandson, Jeffery Bettenhausen; and daughter-in-law, Sally Koch.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Koch) Buell and Susan (Koch) Neidick and son Gordan A.(Sam) Koch; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, niece Patricia Apostolou; and nephews Mark and David Nelson, and Darrell Nelson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2650 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435 at 11:00 a.m.
